Meet John.

John Hackstadt is a passionate boater who loves helping others experience the joy of boating. He grew up in the Northwest, where he developed a strong connection to the water. John spent his childhood boating and fishing all over Puget Sound. These experiences laid the foundation for his future career.

After graduating from WSU, John taught middle school for a few years. He then worked for the youth ministry, Young Life, for 7 years. This brought him to Anacortes, where he and his wife fell in love with the city and decided to stay. John then decided to apply his knowledge and passion for boating to a new venture in the boat industry.

John knows that there is more to boating than having the perfect vessel. It’s about spending time with family and friends, discovering new places, and appreciating the beauty of the sea. His mindset as a broker incorporates this idea and encourages clients to explore all the great experiences that come with owning a boat.

John has been a part of the boating industry for almost two decades now. He created and managed his own brokerage, and then joined forces with Silver Seas Yachts in 2019. Their lineup of quality power yachts allows John to provide his customers with top-tier yachts equipped with the latest technology.

In his free time, John enjoys boating with his wife and three daughters in the San Juan Islands. Additionally, he enjoys skiing at Mt Baker. He is an avid runner and holds a position as Race Director for two popular running events.
